Deleting a draft item

I had started to enter a new item into IM and realized I should have cloned an existing item, to make the data entry go more quickly and because the new item is very similar to an existing item. I only entered a couple of fields, but the item is in Drafts now, and I can't figure out how to delete it. The item I started to enter has the same GTIN as the GTIN I wanted to give to it when I cloned an existing item, but a message keeps popping up that the item already exists when I try to edit the cloned item and give it the GTIN I need to give it. I hope this makes sense, I've been asked to do this quickly and I can't do anything quickly yet, in GS1.

Hi! I am experiencing the same issue. I started to create an item, however after re-watching the training videos, I believe it is better to start with a clean slate and start from the beginning in adding my item. After research on the discussion page, I am unable to locate the steps in deleting an item after starting. Can you please assist with this?

I had this same issue recently and was advised to delete the item by using the 1WS template. Once the item was removed, I was able to enter it again with the same Gtin since it had never been registered. 🙂
