Case Creation

hi,

i created items, then created a case. (i am in apparel)

i created the case and added the babies. but i cannot fix the 4 errors no matter how hard i search for an answer

my 4 errors are attached. Can someone guide me as to what i can do about this?

I believe you are trying to create a Case that contains 6 different consumer unit products. My answers are based on that so correct me if I am wrong.

GTIN 50773389369710: If I add up the link quantities on your Eaches, I would expect to see this Case with a link and Qty Next Level Items to match what you have below. In other words:

Link 1 of GTIN 00773389354124 to the Case
Link 1 of GTIN 00773389354131 to the Case
Link 2 of GTIN 00773389354148 to the Case
Link 3 of GTIN 00773389354155 to the Case
Link 3 of GTIN 00773389354162 to the Case
Link 2 of GTIN 00773389354179 to the Case

The issue here is you linked each child to the GTIN above. They should instead all be children to the parent Case versus being children grandchildren, etc.

Your Each GTINs should have a value of "1" for Total Count of All Products. Since they are Eaches, tehy cannot have a child under them in a hierarchy. Eaches cannot be a parent.

I recommend you break these and link them all to the case instead of to each other.

Correct. i am trying to create a case the contains 6 upcs. (because that is what we will ship)

i am confused with the wording. The Case i created is the Parent ?

dont i need to link the kids to the parent? isnt that what i was suppose to do?

so i should delete the eaches within the Case and then?

Sorry for all the confusion. new to this. this was my trial style...

It's no problem. I am happy to help. You linked the eaches to each other instead of linking the eaches to the parent case. The Case should be the parent to every one of those child item eaches.

Yes, so now you would click t he plus sign on the case level and add another each. You would not click the plus sign to add anything under an each

Hello Cheryl. For a hierarchy that has a case and six eaches inside the case, it should look like this.

With your GTIN information filled in. The highest level is always going to be at the top, in this instance the case, followed by the lower levels. On the Case level Total Count of All Products would be the total number of eaches inside (12 for this example) and on every Each level, the Total Count of All Products would be 1 since this is the lowest level in the hierarchy.

and compare it to your hierarchy now:

The difference is you are linking the child items to each other by clicking the "+" on the child items. What we are advising is you remove all the links to the children real quick and re-add using only the "+" next to the Case GTIN every time.

That is what i did within the Case. exactly that. what i think it is the lower levels are the issues ?

Hi Cheryl. When you have the item to the point as you have in the last screenshot - Screenshot 2023-03-20 111337.png - you would need to add the GTIN information into the lines to the right of the numbers listed. So the first Each listed you would add the GTIN in the box to the right of the number of quantity 1 for the Mens Cargo Pant Grey SZ 28. Then the next Each line would be directly under with a quantity of 1 for the size 30.

when i went into the case to add as you said to do. They were already there ? see attached. plus i got errors again. see also attached.

is there something wrong with the eaches?

@Cheryl1 you are seeing those error messages because the hierarchy setup is not correct yet. I see you unlinked everything in IM and have the Case only right now. Every time you add an Each to this hierarchy since they are all children of the Case, click only the "+" on the Case that I am showing below. Don't click the "+" on the Eaches. Click this one every time for this hierarchy.

ok. disregard my previous comment i got it ! now i just have this error that needs help on

in regards to the weight. my eaches have a gross weight of 1.5 and the case has 12 pounds

why doesnt it work?

Ok, nice work. The Gross weight of your Case must be at least the same weight as all of the children including their quantities. The Case must weigh at least :

1 x the weight of 00773389354124

1 x the weight of 00773389354131

2 x the weight of 00773389354148

3 x the weight of 00773389354155

3 x the weight of 00773389354162

2 x the weight of 00773389354179...

all added together...
