Item UPC not correct on PO

Hi Community,

I was informed after I had an item published into the Product Intro and completed all info that the UPC showing for the PO is not matching to the item that is showing in the Product Intro Page. Is there anyway you could help in understanding why this happened?

I have attached a screenshot of what I see in Product Introduction and based on the number in the "GS1 Trade Item ID Value" column would indicate the barcode for your consumer unit is 00722776004937, is that the correct barcode for your product?

Would you mind telling me what information is on the PO that does not match with the product in Albertson's PI? Thank you!

Hi Julie,

Yes, that barcode is the correct barcode we are using and what is showing in the Albertsons PO is indicating that the UPC correlated with this item in question do not match what I am seeing in my system versus what is being show on the PO.

Hello @masonboedeker and thank you for the details. What UPC appears on the PO so I can cross reference with what is present in PI?

Is the physical barcode on your consumer unit 00722776004937 12, 13 or 14 digits? I've attached below the definition for the attribute GS1 Trade Item ID Value (UPC) as you might need to correct this information depending on what UPC your product has. Thank you!

Hi @Julie ,

The UPC that is showing on the PO is 072277600000.

As for the UPC that is showing on the consumer unit. When using this I have always been able to provide the full 14 digit GTIN and then when POs comeback they only include the 12 digit UPC. The consumer unit barcode does happen to be the 12 digit, but this issue hasn't been an issue with any other item in the PO but this specific Item.

Thank you for the UPC @masonboedeker! I reviewed your hierarchy for GTIN 10722776004934 and I was not able to find any reference to UPC 072277600000.

I would recommend reaching out to your Albertsons merchandiser and discussing with them to find out what attribute is populated with that UPC so we could help identify what needs to be changed in PI or in your GDSN provider's portal.

Okay, that is what I was thinking as I have never seen the UPC that is showing on the PO and figured it may be something on their end. I will double check with them and find out where this issue might be on their end.
